Joni and Ken Tada, handing over the 25,000th wheelchair of Wheels for the World to an Indian boy at the historic event held in Bangalore, India in 2004 and hosted by Operation Equip India and proVision Asia.

We are proud and grateful to work with Joni Eareckson Tada and her excellent team at Joni and Friends in advancing the services to the disabled in India through their wonderful programs.

Wheels for the World

Joni and Friends has partnered with OEI to deliver hundreds of wheel chairs each year through their Wheels for the World program. Teams from the USA specializing in chair fitting come to India to customize each and every wheelchair to the exact specifications of the disabled recipient.

 Christian Fund for the Disabled

Joni and Friends partners with OEI to review applicants for its “Christian Fund for the Disabled” grants—special grants that help the disabled or churches/ministries reach out to the disabled.

Joni’s Visit to India--September 2004

OEI spearheaded Joni’s visit to India along with her husband Ken Tada in September 2004. The highlights of her visit were her participation as keynote speaker at the Great Banquet Conference and the distribution of the 25,000th wheel chair of Wheels for the World.
